About Lesson
- Wash the udder of the Doe with lukewarm water and wipe it with clean towel.
- All milking utensils, especially the milkers’ hand, must be thoroughly cleaned.
- Test the udder with using electronic mastitis detector prior to milk collection. You can use also a conventional mastitis kit if electronic device is not available
- Give milking concentrates during milking. This will serve as incentive to the goats for them to enjoy and look forward.
- Insert the milking hand to the udder of the Doe. Gently massage the udder as the machine continues sucking.
- After milking, measure the amount of milk being collected for record purposes.
- Store the collected milk in the container and keep refrigerated.
