Does’ that are being milk has higher nutritional requirements compared with other types of animals because they are being milked. Confined milking Does should be given good quality forage for free choice or ad libitum. Concentrates are added to the diet to maximized its milk production. Clean water should be always made available. Provide additional vitamins, minerals, and salt if necessary. Concentrates are given at the rate of 1kilo per 20 liters of drinking water or a maximum of 1kilo per head per day. Inadequate nutrition will decrease body condition, reduce milk production, reduce kid weaning weight and increase kid mortality.
